Neighbors

Our weekend neighbor came over to our home today and introduced herself. She came bearing gifts. She had a basket of muffins with a note that read, "Happy Summer! Welcome to the first full summer as neighbors on Bittersweet Lake!" The note continued with all their contact information. They only live here on weekends, but it was very generous and kind of her to come over with a welcome gift like that. Neighborly hospitality is sorely missing in today's society and it is a comfort to me to see that in my corner of the world it is alive and well.
