I was finishing up dinner last night when my phone started ringing with the special ring that says my sweet mama is calling. After I answered and we established what I was doing, she asked if I would open the front door for them! Well imagine my surprise that my wonderful parents were at my front door. The great thing is that I presently live an hour away from them. When our house is finished I will be only 45 minutes away. Anyway, they'd been out gallivanting for the day and decided to stop in and surprise me. What a pleasant surprise! I see them a lot on weekends, but not as much during the week. Since Courtney was with the dogs outside, I hadn't had a chance to tell her they were here. She walked in the back door and her jaw dropped and a HUGE smile came across her face. She was in grandparent heaven!
After some visiting, we headed out to the new house so that I could show them all the progress there. Dad's words were "blown away" when he looked at everything that has been done. The porch is an awesome sight of course! And the contractor had started tiling showers yesterday so we got to view his handiwork. Very nice!
Some of the best times are spontaneous moments, and I just wanted to let Mom & Dad and everyone else know that I thoroughly enjoyed last night's moments!
