Catchin' Up

Time for a time-out to blog! Still working on the house and work is crazy, but I got my taxes filed today and so I feel relieved about that. It's going to give us a little furniture money! We had an appraiser out this week so hopefully we will close on our loan soon and will get moved in! I'm past ready!

I'm going to a Stampin' Up Club meeting tonight which I so enjoy. We're going to stamp a stack of cards and start some scrapbook pages so that will be fun. Charles is working tonight and so Courtney and I are going to stay with my parents overnight. I always enjoy doing that. Nothing like a good mother/daughter talk... oh yes and many times the granddaughter gets in on the fun! :)

Speaking of the granddaughter (my daughter), she's enjoyed some time off school this week. She had Monday off for President's Day and she was dismissed at 12:30 p.m. today. I think they had a Teachers Institute afternoon or something. She's now enjoying free time at home before going to her Mimi & PaPa's house.

I'm so happy to report that my sister had her port removed (which caused her quite a bit of trouble and pain). She also had some hopeful news from her kidney doctor and so things are shaping up for a great spring and summer! No one deserves it more than you, Mel!

I missed blogging on Valentine's Day, but I just want to say that I'm so thankful for my Valentine. This was our 6th Valentine's Day together. (The first one we celebrated was long distance (me in IL and him in TX) 5 months before we were married.) We both got a second chance at love and companionship and we are so grateful for the gift of each other. Let me share our song with you. "Feels Like Love" by Vince Gill. We walked down the aisle to this after our wedding ceremony.

Look what my heart has gotten into
The sweetest gift I ever knew
It's even better than my favorite shoes
Look what my heart has found in you

Chorus: Feels like sunshine, feels like rain
Lord, it feels like love finally called my name
I wanna jump and shout I wanna sing and dance
Lord it feels like love wants a second chance

Look what my heart can clearly see
How much I crave your company
A true companion I will always be
Look what my heart has done to me

Looks like my heart has become
The safest place for us to run
I'll be here for you when the day is done
Looks like my heart has found someone

Oh what a sweet song. Whenever I hear it now, I still think of you and your wedding day to Charles. Hope you have fun this evening with mom. Wish I could be there to share some laughs with y'all. Let me know how your stampin' stuff went too. What did you design tonight? Love ya!
