Mmmm.... I love these cool fall mornings and evenings we are having. The middle part of the days lets us know summer is not gone yet, but the mornings and evenings give a hint of cooler days to come. I love living in the Midwest because of the distinct four seasons we have. Courtney and I were in a store last night and she said, "Mom do you smell Big Red gum?" I answered that I did smell cinnamon, but I thought it must have something to do with all the Christmas decorations they had in the store. Sure enough, around the next aisle we came across a container of cinnamon brooms. They made me long for the holidays, but I'm going to enjoy every day until they get here.
Courtney got her first progress report this year. All A's with the exception of 2 B pluses. It's a blessing that school work comes easy to her.
It's been a productive couple of weeks at the house. The septic system, plumbing, electricity and A/C are in. The porch is going to be worked on next week and then hopefully after next week the people we are hiring to do sheetrock will be available. We are really hoping to be in by the end of October.
Well I'm going to enjoy my weekend with my family. I hope you all do the same!

Ditto about the fall season! I'm LOVIN' it! Hope you all make LOTS of progress on the house this week. I know you'll be SO GLAD to finally get in it.
So glad to hear that the house is coming along and you'll will be in for the holidays! I know that has to make everyone so happy. Please tell Courtney congratulations on a wonderful progress report. She is a special young lady!
