One thing I have figured out very quickly is that the blogging world is amazing! There are so many layouts, ideas for blogs, etc. that it blows the mind. So I think I'll just put my thoughts down for now and get my feet wet. But I think this will be fun.
It's a rainy day today. In fact, it's storming. Charles called at one point after a bad lightning strike and said, "What was that? An explosion?" I don't think it was, but it was LOUD!
Courtney's going to SFC Relay this evening. I'm going to be pushing it to get off work and get her to church by 5:00, but she will have fun and I'm glad she's going. Do you remember those days?? All the youth activities and social events? I have snapshots in my mind from through the years that I like to sit down and review from time to time. Going to Youth Congress in Memphis... was that 1988? Going to Minnesota Youth Convention with Kim and meeting Carma for the first time. That was our first plane trip too! I remember seeing the cemetery on the way to Lambert Airport in St. Louis and asking my mom... "what's that cemetery for? people that don't make it on flights?" I was also a veteran youth camper. Went every year from the time I was 9 until I was 18. Then there was IBC. So many great memories!! I want Courtney to have all those memories like I did. I think she will.
Feeling better today. Hope it's a great weekend for everyone!
“He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”- Romans 8:32 NIV

I'm glad you're feeling better. I've missed you this week. Man, do I ever remember those fun teenage years. Camps were part of our summer life back then. Courtney will make memories that will last a lifetime during these next few years. I met my best friend at camp, Tara Brown, and we're still best friends to this day. The circle of life continues in your little grown up angel now!
