Summer Wishes

I'd like to blog more, but sometimes the thoughts that swirl around in my head are too raw to be put out there for all to see. Human nature can be a beautiful and terrifying thing all at the same time. So I take a few steps back, analyze things a little, pray that God will help me to see the bigger picture and focus on those around me more. And then I sit down again to write.

These last few months haven't felt like beautiful times in my life and it's been hard to find something uplifting to write. Death is part of life, but it is not an easy thing and endeavors to suck the life and joy out of you. The one comfort I have is that my loved ones died in the faith and I will see them again one sweet day if I keep myself ready for His coming.

Summer has arrived in Illinois. High 80s and low 90s. What?? This is May!! Courtney is gearing up to take part in all the summer camps and activities that are available to her. I am so enjoying this stage in her life. She just finished her freshman year of high school. That is hard for this young mama to believe!! :) But she did really well this year and I'm proud of her.

Have a wonderful summer everyone. Run through the sprinkler, eat some homemade ice cream, enjoy some fresh watermelon, enjoy your vacations and most of all be safe!
