Hustle and Bustle

Life has been a little crazy for the past few weeks. I found out at the end of October that I would be getting new bosses right before Thanksgiving. My boss sold her accounting practice. So it's been a little crazy, but we're starting to settle into a routine. After our client reception on Friday, we should be able to settle down and get down to actual business. Can you say stress though?? Whew!

On a fun note, we had our church Progressive Christmas Dinner this past Saturday night. That was a great time. We went to 4 different places. At the first house we had appetizers, and at the second house we had soup and salad. After those two stops we went to the church fellowship hall for the main meal. Finally, we ended up at another house where we had desserts and a white elephant gift exchange. It was a great time and I'm glad I was able to participate.

This week promises to be crazy! Guitar lesson and then play practice for Courtney tonight. Choir practice tomorrow night. Church Wednesday night. Church Christmas dinner at Golden Corral on Thursday. Client reception at the office during the day on Friday and then our choir is singing at the Shrine in Belleville Friday night. Saturday is play practice again and then Sunday is the play and Candlelight Cafe served by the youth after the play. Wow!! I think I will have a crash and burn Monday night! At least I am not directing anything this year! Back in the day it was crazier when I was choir director and children's musical director too. In the middle of all this, my nephew Gentry has a birthday on Tuesday and my dad has a birthday on Thursday. Don't know when we're going to celebrate, but we will at some point I'm sure!

Okay I'm going to breathe and reflect on what I really love about this season. And next week I'm really going to stop and enjoy all the things I love about this time of year. Family time and baking to come hopefully next week! I got my tree up early so I wouldn't be rushed with that at least.

Have a great week all!

P.S. Enjoy the pictures of our first snowfall this year. Started last night and this is what I woke up to this morning.
