Toddler Class

It is my privilege, for the next three months, to teach the Toddler Class at church. This class meets on Wednesday nights. I am humbled when I see their complete faith and trust in me, and how they take in every word I say like little sponges. It reminds me that I have a big responsibility and it's one I don't take lightly. My nephew is in my class and he is in the possessive stage (as his Mommie has told me). Everything is "mine". As I was relating the story of Abraham and Sarah finding out they were going to have a baby, he said, "Is it my baby?" immediately followed by "It's MY baby." He wanted to know if the puppets that were Abraham and Sarah were his PaPa and Mimi. :) On the student take-home paper, there was a picture of a baby that he colored and then we covered it with a tissue-paper blanket. The cutting and pasting was a highlight for him too. The giggles that come from this group make me smile on the outside and way down deep inside too. Thank you God for entrusting these precious little souls to me if only for a short time.

Aww Christy, I enjoyed reading your post about teaching these little ones. It's a delight isn't it, seeing their complete trust? I don't have them in a class, but experience some of the same things you described with my Zoey. I agree with you completely, God is so good to let us share in their lives!

I know Gentry LOVED being with you in that class. He is with Dale this week, but I know he'll be looking forward to listening to your stories, and making things to bring home to momma!! Thanks for taking on this enormous responsibity! LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH!!
