Life is moving at a hectic pace, but I truly am trying to take time and enjoy all the wonderful things of this season. Our choir sang at Our Lady of the Snows Shrine on Friday, December 12. We have been asked to sing there the past three years although this was my first time there since I was in Texas before. It was a joyous time and the Way of Lights was beautiful too! Nothing like Christmas carols and beautiful lights to get you in the Christmas spirit. On Sunday, December 14 we had a very busy day. We had church Sunday morning and then Courtney had a school Christmas program at 3:00 in the afternoon. She is a member of the junior high chorus and so we had to be there for that. I was happily surprised to open our local newspaper this morning and see a picture of her with the chorus. Scrapbook material! :) It was also very comforting to hear songs like Silent Night, For Unto Us A Child Is Born and the Hallelujah Chorus along with Scripture readings from Luke. Everyone isn't as liberal as they would like us to think. Anyway, later that evening back at church, we had our children's Christmas musical "It's A Wonder-full Life" and it was very good too. Oh, let me not forget the Christmas Candlelight Cafe that followed the musical. The youth served us dinner by candlelight (and white Christmas lights). We feasted on spaghetti, breadsticks, salad and apple crisp! Yum!
Do you have all your presents bought and wrapped? I'm almost done but I do need to wrap. I don't know why I always wait on that until the last minute.
Melanie was back in the hospital for an overnight stay, but fortunately nothing too serious. Just had to get some things leveled out. I know she is ready to be well and enjoy the holidays!
We are spending Christmas Day with my family at Mom & Dad's house and then taking off for Dallas on Friday evening to spend the weekend with Charles' family. I know it will be fun times.
Two things I want to commemorate... Happy Birthday to Nicole whose birthday is today and Happy Anniversary to Mom and Dad whose anniversary is tomorrow. 38 years Mom & Dad! Woo hoo!
Enjoy this last insane weekend of shopping if you haven't finished yours. But try to slow down, drink a cup of hot cocoa and enjoy the simple things of the season and remember that Jesus is the Reason for the Season!

I loved catching up on your blogs that I missed out on while I was "incarcerated"! :) I am starting to catch the Christmas spirit now that I'm feeling better. I can't wait for us all to be together on Christmas Day to celebrate CHRIST and the magic of the season! LOVE YOU! :)
