This has been a crazy week in more ways than one. Melanie has been very ill and has, in fact, been in the hospital since Tuesday afternoon. Her lupus is very active. They are considering treatment options that are not going to be a picnic for Mel. She knows this well as she has had this course of treatment before. Please pray that her current treatment starts working for her and that she improves dramatically. Dale has been in Colorado for his annual hunting trip and while trying to get out they encountered blizzard conditions. Hopefully he is out of harm's way now and close to home. While Mel has been sick and Dale has been gone, we have enjoyed our time with Gentry. Jared brought him to one of Courtney's games and we all enjoyed him as well as watching Courtney's team win their game. Mom has had most of the care of Gentry this week with all of our work and school schedules, but I know she has enjoyed her time with our little man.
In other happenings, a majority of Americans elected Senator Barack Obama as the next President of the United States. Although I did not vote for him, I will pray for him as he leads this country and I pray that he will be wise in his leadership.
This is tournament week for Courtney so I'm at a ball game almost every night. I'm looking forward to Saturday for two reasons. One, no game and two, it's Lindsay's wedding. It will be a wonderful day!
