Little Things

Sometimes it's the little things that get to you. Today I was going over my Christmas card list and updating addresses. I didn't send out cards last year and so when I got to both sets of grandparents' names and had to cross them off, I just sat there stunned and saddened. It's the first year I won't be sending them a Christmas card. They were always happy to get my cards with new pictures of my daughter throughout the years. Funny how life is... you can just be cruising along and then... WHAM... out of the blue you are blindsided by grief. I am very thankful for the many years and memories we did share. I am thankful for a hope beyond this life. I'm looking for a city where we'll never die.
